How the split shows itself
Sub-Zero’s own service instructions turn one section off and leave the other running; on older combination cabinets that meant disconnecting the compressor wire for that zone alone. Two circuits also mean two sets of readings, and a pressure taken on one says nothing about the other.
What it changes for you
Half a working refrigerator is still worth keeping cold. If the freezer side is sound, food moves into it while the other circuit is diagnosed, and nothing is thrown out over one warm shelf.
